You read a month by the state of your relationships. Venus runs your year through harmony and fairness, so the sky's shifts land first as a change in the balance between you and the people you are tied to. In October 2026 the Sun moves through Libra until the 23rd, your 1st house of self and body; from the 23rd it enters Scorpio and turns the light onto money and worth. The New Moon on October 10 falls in Libra, your 1st house of self and body; the Full Moon on the 26th falls in Taurus, your 8th house of depth, shared resources and change. Venus on the 3rd and Mercury on the 24th turn retrograde in Scorpio, your 2nd house of money and worth; Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are already retrograde as the month opens. These are the dates. How they land for a Libra, week by week, is what the October edition reads for your sign, yours to keep.

core traits
Libra, read closely
Libra is the diplomat: the sign that seeks harmony in every interaction, relationship, and aesthetic choice. Ruled by Venus (shared with Taurus), Libra's Venus is less about physical comfort and more about relational beauty. The 'indecisive' label misses the root cause: Libra sees every side, which makes choosing one feel like betraying the others. The shadow is conflict avoidance. The gift is the ability to create peace in any room.
the shadow side
people-pleasing at the cost of self. avoiding conflict until it explodes. using charm as a shield. decision paralysis that prevents living because every option has a downside.

Libra, frequently asked
What dates is Libra season?
The Sun is in Libra from September 23: October 22 in most years. The exact boundary shifts by about a day depending on the year and your time zone, so anyone born on the first or last day of the range should read the Sun sign from a birth chart rather than from a table.
What element and modality is Libra?
Libra is a cardinal air sign, ruled by Venus. Air signs run on ideas and exchange; cardinal signs open a season and start things. Its polarity is positive (day, outward).
What is the opposite sign of Libra?
Aries. Opposite signs sit 180 degrees apart on the same axis and are two answers to one question, which is why the Libra and Aries pairing feels both familiar and demanding. In a birth chart, planets in Libra and Aries face each other across that axis.
Which house does Libra rule?
Libra is the natural sign of the 7th house, the part of a birth chart about partnership and the other person. In your own chart Libra can sit on any house cusp; your Rising sign decides where, which is why two people with the same Sun sign live it in different rooms of life.
Who is Libra most compatible with?
By Sun sign alone, Gemini, Aquarius, Leo and Sagittarius are the classic easy fits for Libra, and Cancer and Capricorn the growth edges. A Sun-sign pairing compares one placement of ten. A real answer compares both full charts, which is what synastry does.
Is being a Libra the same as having a Libra Sun?
Usually that is what people mean: the Sun was in Libra when you were born. Your Moon and Rising sign can be entirely different signs, and they shape how the Libra Sun is lived. Your Big 3, read together, is the picture; the Sun alone is the outline.
Sun-sign answers are the outline. Your free Big 3 reading adds the Moon and Rising; the full birth chart adds every planet, house and aspect.
